apparently Ted loved this tree so much and fought for it's survival for so long that when he died his wife bought the city lot it lived upon and turned into a park

i was reading the tree registry trying to find some trees that i could visit on our trip to the coast, when i found out that this huge old Madrona tree lived right there on W 8th in Port Angels
